Former Yahoo executive introduces software aimed at solving the complexities of biohacking
In the sun-drenched conference hall of Tallinn's HOLOLIFE Summit 2025 Europe, Dr. Reiner Kraft took to the stage with a mission: to solve what he calls "the complexity problem" in personalized health optimization.
The former Yahoo scientist and tech leader presented his new platform, EVER, designed to use artificial intelligence to simplify the often overwhelming world of biohacking – the practice of using science, technology and self-experimentation to optimize health.

"Biohacking itself is complicated," Kraft told attendees on the opening day of the three-day summit. "You look at the supplements, all kinds of different interventions, products, tech gadgets, and so on. Putting this all together – and I've been doing it for many years – is complicated."
From Silicon Valley to self-experimentation
Kraft's journey from tech executive to health innovator began in Silicon Valley in the mid-1990s, where he worked on early internet search technologies, eventually claiming more than 100 patents. But the demanding schedule took its toll.
"With all that work and a crazy schedule – sixty, eighty hours per week – eventually it catches up with you," he explained. "Then the health problems came: high blood pressure, panic attacks, I was overweight."
When traditional medicine offered only symptom-masking medications with troubling side effects, Kraft took matters into his own hands. He spent more than 10,000 hours researching health optimization, experimenting with technologies ranging from hyperbaric oxygen therapy to infrared light treatments.
"I became pretty much a professional biohacker," he said. "I started tracking more than a hundred biomarkers, optimizing my health, working with between eighty and one hundred supplements daily."
The results were significant: "I reduced my biological age by almost ten years. Most importantly, I felt much better."
The birth of EVER
The idea for EVER emerged from a collaboration with one of Kraft's clients, Johannes, who had created elaborate spreadsheets to manage his health protocols. They recognized that such a system would be impractical for most people.
"So Johannes and I decided to hack biohacking – with technology," Kraft explained. "Let's create something so nobody has to work on complicated spreadsheets. Let's use AI and algorithms to do this at scale, systematically."
Five challenges in health optimization
Kraft identified five major challenges that EVER aims to address:
1. Biomarker management
With hundreds of potential biomarkers to track, Kraft emphasized the difficulty in knowing which ones matter and what values to target. EVER offers a dashboard with personalized reference ranges based on functional medicine rather than standard lab values.
"We wanted to make this easy: a cockpit-like dashboard where you can see your biomarkers, good reference ranges, and personalize them," he said.
2. Daily action plans
The platform breaks down complex health protocols into manageable daily steps. "The app shows a clean, structured view: when to take each supplement, or do each intervention – personalized for you," Kraft explained.
3. Personalized feedback loops
At the core of EVER is a machine learning system that creates a feedback loop incorporating genetics, environment, and individual habits. "Our algorithms measure what you're doing, learn, and adjust recommendations. It's an agile, do-measure-learn approach," Kraft said.
4. Making health optimization engaging
Recognizing that daily health routines can become tedious, EVER incorporates gamification elements. "We want to introduce the flow and fun factor – like in games such as Clash of Clans. There's incentive, feedback, scoring, levels, competition," said Kraft.
5. Holistic approach
The platform is built around Kraft's "Vitality Factors" framework, which addresses everything from mind and sleep to cellular health and longevity. "Doing well in just one is not enough – it's about the big picture," he emphasized.
Early access launch
Kraft announced that EVER would be available in early access to the first 100 participants within two weeks of the summit. "It's free for the first hundred participants," he told the audience, encouraging them to sign up at the company's booth.
As the presentation concluded, Kraft summarized the mission behind EVER: "That's our hope for this conference: to introduce you to our attempt to help you live healthier, maybe longer, and a bit better."
The HOLOLIFE Summit 2025 Europe continues in Tallinn until Sunday, bringing together experts in biohacking, longevity science, and health optimization technologies.
Frequently asked questions
Who built EVER, and why?
Reiner Kraft, a former Yahoo scientist with more than 100 patents, turned to health optimisation after sixty to eighty hour weeks produced high blood pressure and panic attacks. EVER grew out of work with a client, Johannes, who was managing his health protocols in elaborate spreadsheets.
What problem does the platform try to solve?
The complexity problem, as Kraft calls it. With hundreds of possible biomarkers, most people cannot tell which ones matter or what to target, so EVER offers a cockpit-like dashboard with personalized reference ranges drawn from functional medicine rather than standard lab values.
How does EVER turn data into action?
By breaking complex protocols into manageable daily steps. Kraft described a clean, structured app view that shows what to do today, on the reasoning that any system requiring spreadsheet maintenance will never work at scale for ordinary people.
