Jozef Mihalisin

Karuna Institute s.r.o.

Jozef Mihališin has long dedicated himself to guiding people on the path toward greater maturity, self-regulation, personal responsibility, and higher-quality relationships. His work integrates psychology, bodywork, nature-based rites of passage, group facilitation, and the development of social and emotional competencies. He is the founder of the School of Human Initiation (*Škola Iniciácie Človeka*) and leads the transformative programs "Mirror of the Man" (*Zrkadlo Muža*) and "Mirror of the Woman" (*Zrkadlo Ženy*), which create a space for men and women to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their behavioral patterns, their relationships, their inner strength, and their sense of responsibility. He also guides men in 3 month long mentoring program "Awakening of Masculine Sexuality". He also works with families and focuses on parent-child relationships. He leads projects such as "Mother and Son" and "Father and Daughter," the "Family Tree" (*Rodokmeň*) summer family retreats, and the "Fathers for Children" program. For boys and their fathers, he created the "From Boy to Young Man" rite of passage, which supports a boy's conscious transition into young manhood. For the corporate sector, he developed the "Leaders Create Leaders" project, which focuses on developing leaders, relationships, and teamwork, as well as the ability to foster an environment where others can grow. In schools, he runs the "Rock and Water" project, which fosters the development of social and emotional competencies in children and young people while helping to prevent and reduce intrapersonal and interpersonal issues. He is the creator of the "Journey of the Hero" online program, which guides individuals through the process of personal transformation and the search for their own path. He also leads 11-day "Vision Fast" nature-based rites of passage, in which individuals step out of their ordinary lives for a time to engage deeply with themselves, nature, and the questions that are fundamental to their lives. In his work, he incorporates somatic methods such as 9D Breathwork, TRE, and the Emotion Code. He is interested in how life experiences become imprinted in the body, nervous system, emotions, and relational patterns—and how these can be addressed not only through the intellect but also through the body and direct experience. He is an enthusiastic student of the School of Lost Borders, focusing particularly on nature-based rites of passage, the "Four Shields of Human Nature" framework, and conscious guidance through life transitions. In his practice, he strives to blend depth with practicality, personal experience with formal learning, and inner work with real-life application.
